Plot summary: The plot roughly follows the novel, except for the setting being moved from America to Europe and the main characters being adults in their 20s instead of teenagers. The central character Vivian is a member of a werewolf pack that has always found it necessary to preserve their secret by any means, including killing any human who finds out. Marriage between humans and werewolves is portrayed as being strongly discouraged, because of concerns that it will cause the secret to get out and attract werewolf hunters. The main plot point is that Vivian risks the survival of herself and her pack when she falls in love with a human man who is visiting from America.
