The Lives of Others - Film, Movie - Trailer

Plot: Stasi agent Gerd Wiesler, a heart-felt supporter of the communist regime, is assigned to spy on playwright Georg Dreymann, who is suspected of Western leanings. He soon finds out that the real reason why Dreymann is being spied on is that a minister and member of the Party's Central Committee is attracted to Dreymann's girlfriend, actress Christa-Marie; if Dreymann is arrested he will have free rein. Dreymann is a supporter of the regime, but dislikes the way dissidents are treated. When an artist friend commits suicide because of his marginalisation, Dreymann publishes anonymously in West Germany an article on suicide rates in the GDR. Wiesler's empathy for the writer and his girlfriend having grown as time went on, he lies in his reports to protect Dreymann. When Christa-Marie is arrested for drug abuse, she turns Dreymann in, but Wiesler removes evidence from his apartment preventing him from being detained. Christa-Marie dies when she walks in front of a truck and the operation becomes pointless; hence Wiesler's chief officer, Anton Grubitz, calls it off and ensures the end of Wiesler's career: he is demoted to Department M, where he tediously opens letters all day. At the end of the film, after German reunification, Dreymann finds the truth while searching his process in Stasi's archives and releases a book dedicated to "HGW XX/7" (Wiesler's Stasi codename). He finds out the location of Wiesler and sees that he has meanwhile become a leaflet deliverer. But Dreymann turns away and doesn't talk to him. When Wiesler buys the book and the vender asks him if he should package it as a present, Wiesler responds: "No. It's for me."

Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles - Animated, Movie - Trailer

Plot: The story begins with the attempted reclamation of Earth by the returning Robotech Expeditionary Force, with an all-out attack launched on the Invid central hive known as "Reflex Point". This revisits the battle chronicled in the final episodes of the original Robotech's New Generation storyline, except this time it is told from the standpoint of the arriving space fleet instead of that of Scott Bernard's freedom fighters. The human forces are bolstered by new "Shadow" technology given to them by a cyborg alien race befriended by the forces of Admiral Hunter. This technology gives the Robotech forces a marked advantage against the Invid, because it prevents the energy signatures emitted by their mecha's protoculture engines from being detected by Invid sensors. However, the Invid Regis quickly recogizes this technology as that of the "Children of the Shadow", the treacherous race responsible for driving the Invid from their original home world.

The battle rages on Earth's surface as well as in orbit, with Invid forces eventually overwhelming their human foes. When the Robotech forces realize that their attack has failed, they have no choice but to launch their newly-developed Neutron-S Missiles directly at Reflex Point. This last-ditch effort guarantees the eradication of the Invid horde, but at the cost of several million human lives, both military and civilian. The Invid Regis, realizing that this final destruction is pointless due to the ultimate threat posed by the Children of the Shadow, decides to leave the earth and take all protoculture with her. The Regis' daughter, Ariel (a.k.a. "Marlene" in the original series), decides to remain with love interest Scott Bernard on Earth. As a final gift to her daughter and the people of Earth, the Regis destroys the incoming Neutron-S Missles, harmlessly vaporizing them as she exits the planet's atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the human forces lose contact with the SDF-3 and Admiral Hunter, who are carrying out a final test on the Neutron-S missiles. A ship is dispatched, The Icarus, under the command of Vince Grant, to the SDF-3's location in the Omicron sector. Upon arriving at the location of the SDF-3, they are nearly drawn into a black hole. They manage to escape by using their fold system to create a field around the ship. They establish short range contact with SDF-3 and are subsequently warned by Admiral Hunter that the Neutron S missiles contain a serious flaw and must not be fired. Soon after establishing contact with the SDF-3, Vince Grant's rescue team is attacked by an unknown alien force. The rescue team attempts an escape, using the Icarus' fold system to envelope not only their ship, but the damaged research vessel and the SDF-3 as well. However, due to an alien battle cruiser ramming the SDF-3, they are forced to leave SDF-3 behind.

Day of the Dead - Film, Movie - Trailer

Description: Day of the Dead will be a remake of George A. Romero's classic zombie film of the same name, the third in the the Living Dead series. Steve Miner has signed on to direct while Jeffrey Reddick will write the script.

The plot of the original film was about a small group of survivors inside of an underground military bunker when the world becomes overrun with zombies.

According to Reddick, this film will not have any connection to Zack Snyder's 2004 remake Dawn of the Dead. Reddick told ComingSoon.net:
“It's going to be a separate movie, he told us. We wanted to pay homage to the original with the military and the scientists and the socially relevant stuff that George Romero always does, but we wanted to put a fresh spin on it. There will be similarities, but there'll be differences as well that I think fans will hopefully dig. Steve Miner (Friday the 13th Part 2) is directing, which I'm really excited about.”

A teaser poster has surfaced over the internet. There is no word as to whether this is an official poster or simply a fan made one, although it bears a strong resemblance to a poster for Land of the Dead that features a severed hand gripping a fence.

It is produced by Danny Dimbort, one of the producers of The Wicker Man and The Black Dahlia.

There are reports on bloody-disgusting.com that a reliable source has stated that Ving Rhames and Mena Suvari have been cast and that Rhames has been cast as Captain Rhodes, originally played by Joseph Pilato. The article also reports that shooting in or around Bulgaria or Romania was to begin in July, 2006. Also, IMDb reports that Christa Campbell, Matt Rippy, Vanessa Johansson, Linda Maralowe, Ian McNeice, Taylor Hoover and Hugh Skinner are attached.

bloody-disgusting.com states:
“the film is a typical zombie film, virus infects town, people start biting each other, virus spreads by the bites, and a handful of survivors try to make it out of town alive. In this one the military is brought in to enforce a quarantine on the small town of Leadville, CO because of the mysterious virus. Once they realize the virus eventually makes people start ravenously attacking each other, it's too late... EXCEPT for a few.”

On October 23, 2006, a trailer was put on the internet but was taken down a few hours later. A copy of this trailer is available on Youtube. Due to thecontent in the trailer, many fans are concerned about the quality of the movie, including theories that it will be straight to dvd.

The zombies shown in the trailer seem similar to the zombies featured in Dawn of the Dead. Both seem to have high speed and much more mobility than the Romero zombies in the original film.

Ratatouille - Film, Movie - Trailer

Plot: The film tells the success story of an unlikely hero; a rat named Rémy (voiced by Patton Oswalt) who finds himself in a Parisian restaurant made famous by an eccentric French chef, Auguste Gusteau. Rémy is not only a foodie, (so quite an outsider among his kinfolk), but aims to become a fine chef. This far-reaching ambition, incredibly enough, he achieves.

A Disney press release gives us the following plot outline:

“After taking audiences on incredible journeys to the worlds of cars, monsters, superheroes, fish and toys, only the amazing storytellers at Pixar Animation Studios ("Cars," "Finding Nemo," "The Incredibles") could create an entirely new and original world where the unthinkable combination of 5-star restaurants and rats come together for the ultimate fish-out-of-water tale.

In the new animated-adventure, RATATOUILLE, a rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely—and certainly unwanted—visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

Remy finds himself torn between his calling and passion in life or returning forever to his previous existence as a rat. He learns the truth about friendship, family and having no choice but to be who he really is, a rat who wants to be a chef. Directed by Academy Award-winning Brad Bird ("The Incredibles") and co-directed by Academy Award-winning Jan Pinkava ("Geri's Game"), RATATOUILLE is slated for release on June 29, 2007.

”In an interview, John Lasseter described the movie: "It is about a rat that wants to be a fine chef in a top French restaurant in Paris. It is a wonderful story about following your passions when all the world is against you. A rat to a kitchen is death; a kitchen to a rat is death."

Mr. Bean's Holiday - Film, Movie - Trailer

Plot: Rowan Atkinson returns to the iconic role that made him an international star in Mr. Bean's Holiday. Tired of the dreary, wet London weather, Bean packs up his suitcase and camcorder to head to Cannes for some sun on the beach. Ah...vacation. But his trip doesn't go as smoothly as he had hoped when the bumbling Bean falls face first into a series of mishaps and fortunate coincidences, far-fetched enough to make his own avant-garde film.

Wrongly thought to be both kidnapper and acclaimed filmmaker, he has some serious explaining to do after wreaking havoc across the French countryside and arriving at his vacation spot with a Romanian filmmaker's precocious son and an aspiring actress in tow. Will Bean be arrested by the gendarmes or end up winning the Palme d'Or? It's all caught on camera as Atkinson again applies his awkward athleticism to a comedy of errors in Mr. Bean's Holiday.

Happily N'Ever After - Animation, Movie - Trailer

Story: As the story begins, we are introduced to the idea that the Wizard controls all of the fairy tales and maintain the balance of good and evil in Fairy Tale Land. With the help of his assistants, the Wizard is checking to make sure that all the fairy tales under his care are "on track" to have their traditional happy endings. As we meet him, however, the Wizard is leaving for Scotland for a long-overdue vacation. He leaves the kingdom in the hands of his two assistants, the uptight Munk and the decidedly goofy Mambo.

Ella (better known as Cinderella) starts out a damsel in distress, dreaming of the Prince who will sweep her off her feet. Her best friend at the palace is Rick, the palace dishwasher. Rick takes it upon himself to deliver the invitations to the royal ball to Ella. Ella visits Rick in the palace kitchen to borrow items she needs to complete her chores and to share her hopes of dancing with "him" (the Prince) tonight. Ella sees Rick only as a friend, but Rick secretly loves Ella, although he is too cool and proud to admit it. Rick can't really understand what Ella likes about the Prince. Rick's Three Amigos, the comic chefs in the palace kitchen, believe that Rick has a bad case of "Prince envy".

The Prince does everything by the book. He wants it all to be perfect: perfect hair, perfect shirt, perfect everything (he even put on perfect underwear). He plans to meet his Damsel at the ball.

However, things don't go as planned at the ball. Thanks to the assistants, Ella's evil stepmother, Frieda, gains access to the Wizard's lair during the Prince's ball. While the boss is away, the wicked stepmother does play. Frieda manages to chase off Munk and Mambo and tip the scales of good and evil, causing a series of fairy tales to go wrong and have comically unhappy endings. As for Ella, Frieda can't stand her hope and goodness. Frieda's goal is to put the "cinder" back in Cinderella. That night, she calls an army of trolls, witches, big bad wolves, and giants to her castle. Ella finds out and escapes to the woods, where she meets Munk and Mambo. Together, they flee to the Seven Dwarfs' home. Witches and trolls, led by Ice Queen, attack them. Rick flies up on a broom, having stolen it from Frieda. The dwarfs hold off the trolls, while Rick, Mambo, Munk, and Ella escape. The Ice Queen is shot down and killed during an attempt to capture them. Frieda discovers the failure and goes after Ella herself. She succeeds in capturing her and Rick, Munk, and Mambo follow her. Ella, meanwhile, is being tortured by Frieda in the palace throne room. Rick, Munk, and Mambo slip into Frieda's castle and attack Frieda. During the fight, Frieda generates a pit of flame in the floor. Mumbo knocks her in, and everything returns to normal. But Frieda had one final trick to play. While plummeting through the magma, she uses her staff to fly back up again. After a short battle, Frieda creates a portal by accident. Ella knocks Frieda back, so that part of her is in the portal, she then finishes her off by punching her and knocking Frieda into the river of time. Later, Frieda is shown trapped in the Ice Age. She is surrounded by seals and dragged off, a rather comical death for the self-proclaimed "Empress of Evil."

Set against a backdrop of fractured fairy tales spinning wildly out of control, Ella and her true love Rick ultimately must choose their destinies in a world of happy endings.

Stomp The Yard - Film, Movie - Trailer

Ending Details: The movie opens in an almost all black and white hue, and the setting is an underground dance competition in Los Angeles with hundreds of people. The scene is chaotic as the contests are driven by money, power and respect. Tonight’s bouts are held at the Home "Field" of a rival dance troop who are wiping out the competition. Watching all the action is the Goon Squad, headed up by brothers DJ (Columbus Short) and Duron (Chris Brown) Williams. After the home squad wins another bout, the Goon Squad takes the stage to challenge. A bucket is passed around for wagering and both Squads add a stack of money to the pot. The battle starts and it’s a fierce bout; clearly, the two squads don’t like each other. Each squad has about 7-8 people in it, including female dancers who often go head to head. After a few minutes, the crowd has to decide the winner. The home team is shocked as the Goon Squad takes the prize. Not being satisfied with the result, the losing squad offers double or nothing, dropping more money in the bucket, but Duron is happy with the win and turns down the challenge. DJ pulls him aside to try to convince Duron that they can’t win it again without him. Duron still doesn't want to compete again but does not want to leave his brother behind. This time the "combat" is more energetic and personal. Duron pulls a great move; and the Goon Squad are declared the winners again.

After the battle ends, the Goon Squad is walking home when they are ambushed by the squad they just defeated, as their leader demands their money back. It's an even fight until the leader pulls out a gun and shoots Duron, killing him on the spot. DJ was arrested over the fight for disorderly conduct and a few other charges.

Duron and DJ's mother has a brother, Nate (Harry J. Lennix) who is Head of Maintenance at Truth University in Atlanta. DJ is given a job on Nate’s crew as well as a scholarship to Truth. DJ takes the train from LA to Atlanta where Nate picks him up. He is to live on campus, but his uncle and his aunt Jackie (Valarie Pettiford), a real estate agent, offer their house to him to visit anytime.

At Truth, while registering, DJ is smitten at the sight of April (Meagan Good) and loses his place in line while trying to pursue her. He also loses her, and gets into an argument with the girl behind him when he tries to regain his place in line. Later that day on campus, DJ sees April again and runs up to start a conversation. While they’re talking, April’s boyfriend Grant (Darrin Henson) walks up. She introduces DJ to Grant and Grant tells DJ to stay away from his girl.

DJ moves into his dorm room, which he shares with roommate Rich Brown (Ne-Yo). Rich tells him about a gathering on campus where he can meet girls. At the gathering, Theta Nu Theta is having a step show; everything goes well until rival fraternity Mu Gamma Xi shows up and steals the show. The Gammas make it known that they are the 7 time defending National Step Champions; this kills the Theta’s spirit.

During the step show, DJ spots April again and runs over to her. This time he runs right through the Gamma’s step line, almost getting into a fight with Grant and a few other Gammas. DJ is warned again.

That night, Rich and his friends are going to the local club and invite DJ along. It happens to be "Rep Your Hood" night and there is a chance for people from other cities to represent their city. He shouts out to St. Louis, NYC, Philly, Miami, etc…

Grant is dancing with another woman when April walks in and sees them. She gets angry and Grant tries to explain that he was simply dancing but she tells him she still doesn't like it. When Grant leaves to represent, DJ tells April she does not have to be treated like that. Grant, seeing them talking, runs over and tells DJ to leave his girl alone. They almost have a fight but Grant is called back to the dance floor.

DJ takes this opportunity to show Grant up; he jumps onto the dance floor and challenges him. The crowd is stunned by this unknown, challenging one of the best dancers at Truth. DJ showcases his moves by going up to different people in the crowd and doing a dance popular in that particular person’s city. DJ then does a few moves mocking Grant and the crowd goes wild. Grant does not dance back, knowing he can't top DJ's moves.

The next day, DJ is hard at work gardening on campus when he is approached by Grant, two other Gammas, and Zeke (Laz Alonso) who is Gamma’s campus president. Zeke orders the other two Gammas to finish DJ’s work while they take a walk. Zeke was impressed by his dancing and extends an invitation to DJ to join their fraternity. DJ declines, stating he would rather battle and insults Zeke. Zeke and the Gammas stride off.

Later while studying, DJ is approached by Sly (Brian J. White), the leader of the Thetas, asking him to consider pledging to their fraternity. Unlike the Gammas offer, Sly tells him that joining is not automatic but he has to earn the right to join. Sly emphasises the concept of brotherhood and tells DJ to visit Heritage Hall, a building dedicated to the men and women who were in fraternities and sorority.

DJ is mowing the lawn when he spots April jogging. He asks her out for lunch but she says she has to tutor and walks off. DJ goes to the tutoring administration and asks them what subject April tutors, taking up classes in that subject. During their tutoring session, DJ again asks April to dinner. She initially declines, and he tells her to ask him anything about the subject and if he can answer her, they will go for dinner. He does and she accepts his date. After dinner on the dancefloor, they start kissing but she pulls away.

DJ visits Heritage Hall and sees pictures of prominent Black people that paved the way in the United States, including Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Coretta Scott King. At the going over ceremony where the pledges are made into members, the Gammas are having their ceremony when it is interrupted by the Theta’s. All the new Gamma members are revealed, followed by the new Theta members, DJ being one of them. His frat name is Knucklehead and he does a quick step dance to show the Gammas that their title is now in jeopardy.

While together, DJ tells April that he notices everything about her and she tests him by asking what her favourite color is. He replies that since she always wears green eyeshadow, her ring has green in it, and her car is probably green, he would guess that it was green. She is impressed.

When April is out for dinner with Grant, he suddenly gives her a ring. Confused, she asks him what her favourite color is but he is unable to answer. Suspicious, he asks her if this is about DJ and when she can't answer, he gets angry and calls her ungrateful, amongst other things. She leaves him.

DJ is mowing the lawn on campus and Grant and some Gammas are laughing at him when DJ pulls up to April on the mower and she jumps on. The smile is quickly taken off Grant’s face.

Both the Gammas and Thetas have been secretly rehearsing for the Championships. Unbeknownst to them, during one of the Theta rehearsals, they are recorded by a Gamma. DJ is teaching his line brothers some new moves but when Sly sees them he gets angry and tells him that stepping is not a rap video. DJ retorts that these moves are the new thing. Sly challenges DJ to a battle at the Phoenix between his line brothers and DJ's; the new moves against the old.

Both teams are about even when DJ decides to dance a solo, thinking this will bring their team to victory. However, as a team competition, this stunt costs them the victory. All the Thetas are angry at his showing off. Remembering Duron, DJ apologises to the Thetas and acknowledges the team. Sly agrees to let DJ teach the team some new moves.

Some of the Gammas are researching DJ and they find out his previous criminal background. Meanwhile, April and DJ are studying and DJ offers to bring her to get the best fried chicken. He drives her to his uncle and aunt's house. During the meal, we learn that April's mother passed away 5 years ago. April's father (Allan Louis) is the Dean of Truth and when Nate hears this, he is surprised.

DJ is in class when he is summoned to the Dean’s office. The Dean has learnt about DJ's background from the Gammas and the school Board determines to suspend him for the rest of the year. DJ receives a phonecall and goes to meet Dr. Palmer, who tells him that he can be reinstated in school if he stops seeing April. DJ refuses.

This is three days to Nationals and the Thetas are upset about potentially losing the competition. It turns out that Dr. Palmer used to be a Gamma too.

Dr. Palmer tells April about DJ, who is hurt that he didn't tell her the truth. He explains to her what happened and tells her that the reason he is leaving is because of her father.

When DJ breaks the news to his uncle and aunt, they explain that his aunt and Dr Palmer used to date until she met his uncle, and that is why Dr. Palmer has it in for DJ.

On the day of the Nationals, Jackie goes to see Dr. Palmer about the deal. He tells her he doesn't want his daughter to make the same mistake as she did and she tells him that she has a good life. He says that it isn't good enough for his daughter, but she overhears and is upset.

The finals of the stepping competition are between the Gammas and the Thetas, who must have a danceoff to determine the winner. Each team must choose one dancer to go head to head with each other.

Fearing the loss of his daughter, Dr. Palmer has agreed to reinstate DJ, and they go to the Nationals together.

Grant, having watched the secret tape of DJ, tells Zeke he can win the competition for them. However, DJ shows up in time. Going first, Grant does DJ's exact routine from the tape but DJ isn't fazed. After Grant finishes, DJ puts on the gloves Duron was wearing when he danced and when he died and matches Grant move for move.

As the Theta’s are all huddled on stage, DJ runs into the huddle and then thrusts his body backwards, sliding towards the Gamma’s in the same move that Duron did at the beginning of the movie. DJ is mobbed by the Theta’s and April runs out to kiss him. The scene is captured in a still black and white photo that appears on the wall at Heritage Hall.
